Lenovo IdeaPad U300e Ultrabook Available for Pre-Order

The Lenovo IdeaPad U300e 13.3-inch Ultrabook is now available at Lenovo’s online shop, prices starting at $959.20 (about 736 EUR).
The Lenovo IdeaPad U300e has features a 1.6GHz Intel Core i5-2467M processor, a 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive and 32GB SSD, an Intel integrated graphics, and a 1.3 megapixels camera.

Toshiba Satellite U840 14-Inch Ultrabook

The Toshiba Satellite U840 is the company’s first 14-inch Ultrabook computer, with the stunning design of this lightweight, weighing in at just over a 1.73kg, and at under 16mm thin.The Toshiba Satellite U840 ultrabook features a 1.6GHz Intel Core i5-2467M ULV processor,  a 14-inch LED backlit display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, up to 8GB RAM, a 128GB solid state drive and a hybrid solution that pairs a traditional HDD with a 16GB SSD. Acer Doubles Down on Ultrabooks in 2012

It seems that Acer is feeling bullish about ultrabooks this year. Analysts are predicting that ultrabooks will grow to become as much as 40 percent of the laptop market by 2015, but Acer is moving that timetable up to 2012. The company estimates that 25-35 percent of its total notebook shipments this year will fall under the ultrabook category, with new models and price cuts already on track.

Acer chairman and CEO J.T. Wang, quoted in Taiwan'sDigiTimes, claims that ultrabooks will make up 25-35 percent of Acer's total laptop shipments this year.

Toshiba Portege Z830-S8302

Travelers seeking an executive-class status symbol will be tempted by Toshiba's flagship ultrabook, the Portege Z830-S8302 ($1,429 list). It puts a speedy Intel Core i7 chip into a magnesium alloy chassis that out-diets Apple's MacBook Air 13-inch (Thunderbolt) ($1,299 direct, 4 stars), coming in at 2.5 pounds to the Apple Air's and most Windows ultrabooks' 2.9 pounds or so. It's packed with features ranging from a fingerprint reader to a backlit keyboard.

Acer Aspire S5 13.3-Inch Thinnest Ultrabook

Asus has announced the world’s thinnest ultrabook, called the Aspire S5. Its has an aluminum and magnesium chassis that just 15mm thick (0.59 inches) and weights less than 1.35 kg (about 3 lbs).

Samsung has launched two new Ultrabook in South Korea, the Samsung Series 5. This laptops comes with 13-inch and 14-inch model.

Asus has announced five new Zenbook line of ultrabooks, including the UX21 and UX31 series. The Asus UX21 series includes the UX21E-DH52 and UX21E-DH71, while the Asus UX31 series includes the UX31E-DH52, UX31E-DH53, and UX31E-DH72.

The Asus UX21 comes in 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel and up to 5 hours of battery life, while the Asus UX31 is packs a 13.3-inch display with 1600 x 900 resolution and up to 7 hours of run time.
