Asus has officially announced a new lightweight laptop in Japan, the Asus U24E. The mini laptop based on Intel Sandy Bridge platform and weight about 1.5 kg.
The Asus U24E laptop is powered by a 2.40GHz Intel Core i5-2430M processor, Intel HD 3000 graphics, 4GB of memory, and 750GB hard drive. New Asus U24E has also a 11.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution, a 0.3MP web camera, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 + HS, two USB 3.0 ports + one USB 2.0 sleep and charge, D-Sub and HDMI output, and up to 6.8 hour of battery life. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.
