Asus is offering the U36 series laptop in the UK market, the U36JC-RX197X model. The U36 laptop is the world’s thinnest laptop with standard voltage Intel Core i5-460M/480M processor, a magnesium-aluminum alloy cover, just 19mm at the thickest point, and incredibly lightweight (1.44/1.6kg).
The Asus U36JC-RX197X laptop is equipped with a 13.3-inch LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel, 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM, a 500GB hard drive (SATA 5400rpm), and a NVIDIA GeForce 310M graphics card with 1GB DDR3 VRAM (Optimus technology support).
Other notable specifications includes Altec Lansing speakers, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, a 5-in-1 card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, VGA and HDMI output, and one USB 3.0 port. The Asus U36JC-RX197X is pre-loaded with Windows 7 Professional 64bit OS and pack an 4-cell or 8-cell battery for up to 10hrs of battery life.
